As you go through life you may often find that you misunderstand things, take things completely out of context, not notice things you should have noticed or say things you really shouldn't say.
Just this week alone Ive managed to do the following.....
Ive had my lawnmower for 3 years. I move the front wheels up and down to alter how long/short it cuts the grass.
It never seems to work very well to be honest.
This week I noticed that you can move the back wheels as well....
Overheard my son and his friend playing an online game.
"right, now lets go to the porn shop" his friend said
"OK" my son replied
"whoa" shouts crazy mum "what do you think your doing going to a porn shop? why are you even playing that game? oh my god switch it off!"
"but mum we're only going to the porn shop" my son says
"I cant believe your seriously telling me that like its an acceptable thing to do when your only 10! TURN IT OFF"
Then his friend says "but how else are we gonna trade our gold for stuff if we don't go to the pawn shop?".......
When discussing funeral arrangements earlier in the week there was concern about Easter coming up and the fact it may delay the service.
One person said "surely it wont matter,I expect they'll still go ahead regardless of the day"
To which I replied " they definitely wont do it on Good Friday for fear he may come back again on Sunday"......
I could go on but I feel I have said enough, if not too much!
I'm not afraid to admit to my mistakes or the fact that I'm sometimes wrong, its in our nature as human beings, its inevitable that at some point in our lives it will happen.
To laugh at your misgivings is surely better than to get angry about them and start analysing yourself.
If you laugh, the world laughs with you....or at you...either way at least they are laughing ;p

Delete, Delete ,Delete....
Came across 'Tweleted' last night.
It's a Twitter app designed to retrieve deleted tweets.
Yeah that's pretty cool, you may be thinking, such a neat way to get back anything you've accidentally deleted....This at first was my train of thought but the more i thought about it i came to realise just what a 'tweevil' thing this actually is.
To delete a tweet takes 2 clicks, one to press delete the next to confirm that deletion, How the hell do you do that by accident?!
I myself have deleted a few tweets, probably down to bad spelling or just the fact that i totally changed my mind....something i have a right to do.
I cant remember why exactly i deleted them but that's what i did, pressed delete in the hope that they would never be seen again.
Dictionary def of delete =To remove by striking out or canceling, remove or make invisible
So now I'm wondering why my deleted tweets are still in the system and able to be retrieved? Why are they still assigned to search tags? and who exactly is using and abusing Tweleted?
We all say things we don't mean, drunken rants, bad mood tweets.
In that crazy 20 secs that you forget all you do is public and write something like
'My job sucks. boss is a wanker, his wife's hot though wouldn't mind giving her one!'
Then you rightly so think better of it,delete it and forget all about it....until Monday comes and the boss calls you in his office, shows you the tweet that he's printed out and tells you your services are no longer required :/
I was going to delete the tweet i wrote linking to Tweleted but now don't really see the point!

TEA....Tastes Extremely Awesome :)
That's my acronym for tea :)....but its nowhere near as impressive as what William E. Gladstone once said about my favourite hot beverage...
'If you are cold, tea will warm you.
If you are heated, it will cool you.
If you are depressed, it will cheer you.
If you are excited it will calm you'
Gladstone, 1865
well played Sir for being about the only man in politics to ever say something that actually made sense!
Tea count today = 6 :)

Under Pressure....
Amazing song (wp David Bowie and Queen) , but not such an amazing feeling.
Finding myself constantly under pressure from everything in my life....Even as I'm writing this the ironing basket insists on staring at me, as if to say 'How dare you be blogging...De-crease me now!'
House hold chores are never ending, deadlines are rarely met, kids are in constant need, i go shopping so often i should have shares in Tesco, i single handedly run the world!....well not quite the whole world, just my world which at times is so damn busy i don't even get time to breathe.
Now don't get me wrong, I realise its not just me that sometimes feels this way, I also realise that people have alot more than me to worry about in life so i kinda feel bad for moaning about it and i know that next week things will have slowed right back down and instead of the 'under pressure' syndrome i will be suffering from the 'I'm so bored' syndrome....But until then i shall continue to run around like a headless chicken!
As Mr Bowie would say 'Insanity laughs under pressure, we're cracking'
Is anyone else smiling? ;)

Please read... :)
Finding myself quite shocked by how many of my friends send their kids to bed and let them fall asleep whilst watching DVDs.....it may be just me but i think this is really wrong for a pre-school child.
For a 3 year old to even have a TV in there room is pointless and needless, sure it gives the parents a break and allows them to take the easy option but come on, parenting and the word easy rarely go together.
Early skills in language and reading are so damn important and just through sharing a book at bedtime children's awareness in letter recognition becomes developed and gains them an advantage for when they start school....watching fucking Disney does not :/
I pride myself in the fact that i have read stories to my children every night since before they could even speak.
As a result of this both of them could read by the age of 3, could recite the alphabet and count well past 20.
Sadly far too many people just don't enforce the importance of learning and education...it's all down hill from here.

Tweeter Pie...;)
A few days ago i made myself a Twitter account and joined the 'new' ( actually folks it's been around since 2006!) phenomenon that is Twitter :)
It's cool, i have finally found a place for all my short random thoughts to go....i say short because you have to write using 140 characters or less.
Unlike Face book it's rather basic really, kinda like posting a status yet you still get to chat to people and put posted items and pics onto your profile.
You gain followers ( strange use of word tbh, makes me think of stalking lol) and you can choose to follow others or find peeps you already know.
A few people I've spoken to just 'don't get it'....errrrrm whats not to get?!

Pearls of Wisdom :)
Been doing quite alot of reading of late and came across a tibetan proverb that i just loved....
'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than 1,000 years as a sheep'
Really think it sums up just how little so many of us get out of life when we should be trying so hard to live each day as if it were our last.
We all seem to get stuck in routine, doing what's right, following everyone else and abiding by the rules just because we think we should....I think we should all try to have tiger days :)

Unhealthy addiction or harmless obsession?....
I think it's fair to say that we are in the midst of an era in which some form of obsession is some people's default psychological setting and lets face it the Internet is a great enabler, it helps us with our fundamental line of human enquiry, questions such as where, when and who can be easily answered.
Obsessions can last a few days, a month or for a handful of crazed, tortured years when you think of little else but the one thing you have become obsessed with. Be it outward appearance or inner peace obsessions can strike at any time.
Classic obsessions such as love, money and work are joined by new fangled ones such as eBay, face book and video games and this is where they can become dangerous, they can be the warning signs of addiction....to email someone daily is a manifestation of obsession but to email them up to 100 times a day bears the hallmarks of addiction and if we are not careful that addiction can become a stand in for life itself.
On the other hand obsessions can be useful when handled properly, after all they are responsible for great scientific break throughs and such like but take caution against the kind of obsessions that can lead to social alienation....its better to join the real world now and again :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....
Not written much lately as found myself rather busy in the lead up to Christmas.
Weeks of planning and god only knows how much money spent all for the sake of one day!
Wasn't a bad Christmas apart from the unfortunate variety of gifts i received....perfume set with no perfume in it, jumper nearly 3 sizes too big and 2 copies of the same cd...it gets better i also got a lovely new pair of jeans that came complete with security tag!
Kinda sucks tbh when you go out of your way to ensure everyone around you gets what they want and you yourself end up feeling disappointed and strangely lacking in festive cheer....
I as ever though will try to stay optimistic and just hope that 2009 has some nice surprises in store... unlike my Christmas presents ;)
